These Terms of Services ("Terms") govern your use of the RENTO website and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using RENTO, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About RENTO
RENTO provides car and van rental services and when available, tour guiding. We operate as a rental and travel services provider and may work with partner drivers or operators to fulfill bookings.
2. Eligibility
By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under applicable laws.
3. Bookings and Reservations
When you submit a booking request, you agree that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee availability. Your booking is only confirmed when you receive a written or electronic confirmation from RENTO (e.g. email, SMS, or messaging app).
RENTO reserves the right to accept or decline booking requests at our sole discretion.
4. Rental Requirements
Depending on the type of service (self-drive or with driver), you may be required to provide identification, a valid driver's license, or other documents. Specific requirements, deposits, and conditions will be communicated to you before confirmation.
5. Prices, Fees, and Payments
Rates, surcharges, and fees will be communicated during the booking process. Prices are subject to change at any time, but confirmed bookings will not be affected unless the booking is modified.
When online payment is used, you agree to comply with the terms of our payment processor (e.g. card provider, e-wallet, or payment gateway). RENTO does not store your full payment card details and is not responsible for any issues arising from payment processors, banks, or third-party services.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Our cancellation and refund policy will be communicated in your booking confirmation or as part of the payment process. Certain bookings may be non-refundable or may be subject to cancellation fees, especially for late cancellations or no-shows.
If RENTO cancels a booking due to vehicle issues, safety concerns, or other reasons, we will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative or a refund of any prepayments, if applicable.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when booking.
- Arrive on time at the agreed pickup location.
- Treat the vehicle and driver (if provided) with respect and care.
- Comply with all traffic, safety, and local laws.
You are responsible for any damage, fines, or penalties incurred due to your actions or negligence, subject to the terms communicated in your booking agreement.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use our vehicles or services for illegal activities, reckless driving, racing, or any purpose that violates law or puts others at risk. RENTO reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a booking if misuse is suspected.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RENTO and its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, delays, or inconvenience.
RENTO's total liability for any claim related to the Service shall be limited to the amount you paid to RENTO for the specific booking or service in question.
10. Third-Party Services
Our website or communications may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g. payment gateways, map services, messaging apps). We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or actions.
11. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update or modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on our website. Your continued use of the Service after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Philippines.
